We have an exciting opportunity within our Transport Department and as part of our team you will fill an essential role in helping us towards the depot goals delivering the right products to our customers on time in a safe and compliant manner.

Your duties will meet the operational needs of our Transport Department with some warehouse duties also required. This will range from routing our vehicles, driver defect checking, being compliant in Food Safety, compliant in Transport legislation, completing administrative tasks and nightly reporting, resolving customer queries and possibly warehouse picking in order to get our night team away to a great start on busier nights.

Good numeracy skills are required along with attention to detail. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to learn and excel in a number of areas within a Transport environment and create a really tight knit working relationship with the Transport Manager and the driving team.

Full training will be provided at our depot in Edinburgh depot to ensure that you “get up to speed” quickly for the role.

You will also be asked to perform other additional tasks as directed by your Manager. Duties could include checking stock, answering customer queries, tachograph investigation and reporting.

The role will be Mon to Fri with hours until 8 or 9pm, on some nights depending on vehicles returning but there will be a degree of flexibility by enabling you to depart earlier on other days when delivery routes return earlier and reports are completed. There may also be a requirement for overtime but this is dependant on the business needs

You will need to be up to date and compliant with all health & safety and food hygiene legislation. You will be used to working to targets and will have an accurate and methodical approach to your work.
