Customer support adviser – Slough

Are you passionate about food and customer service? If so, the Bidfood Customer Care Team is looking for a Customer Support Adviser.

Part of the Technical Services Department at the Business Support Centre in Slough, the Customer Care Team is responsible for managing and investigating product quality complaints and ensuring we deliver service excellence to our customers.

Working as part of a team of 3 in a wider department of over 30, you will manage customer complaints from receipt, through to investigation with our suppliers or internal teams to providing written responses to our customers in a timely manner.

Main objectives:

  • Be able to log, process and resolve customer complaints about product quality in an accurate and professional manner.
  • Multi tasking to raise new complaints whilst keeping customers, suppliers and internal departments informed at relevant stages on existing complaints.

To enable you to carry out this role, you will need:

  • A calm and professional manner with the ability to multi task.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proven experience of excellent team work.
  • An avid interest in the food industry.
  • Attention to detail with excellent administration skills.
  • Good IT skills and use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • To be able to put the customer first and agree process improvements to ensure we offer service excellence at all times.

Other skills that would be beneficial

  • Experience in a call centre, hospitality or catering environment.
  • Understanding or interest in food.
