Customer service advisor

Midlands West Depot is committed to providing the highest level of service to our customers. Customer Services Team have an opening for a Customer Service Advisor.

As part of the Customer Services Team you will be responsible for:

  • Effective handling of inbound / outbound calls and emails to give the Customer a positive experience when contacting Bidvest Foodservice
  • Handling complaints with care so that the customer feels that their issue has been acknowledged and will be dealt with satisfactorily
  • To instigate the appropriate service failure recovery process in order to minimise negative perception of service quality
  • Providing commercially viable solutions to service issues within agreed parameters or to escalate issues outside these parameters when appropriate so that the best solution possible is given to the customer
  • To log all calls on the Reflex call log program to ensure that all the details of the issue are recorded accurately and quickly to enable the depot to conduct a thorough investigation
  • To action and manage administrative duties as directed in order to ensure customers receive the necessary level of care

To be successful at the role you will need:

  • To have excellent communication skills, including active listening and effective questioning and negotiating techniques whilst maintaining a professional and friendly approach at all times.
  • To be competent and confident with IT, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • To be resilient with an ability to multitask and work under pressure, whilst also paying attention to detail.
