Customer marketing executive – Slough

Are you a creative marketer that’s motivated by results with a passion for the customer? If so a role in the Customer and Channel Marketing team at Bidfood could be for you!

The Customer and Channel Marketing team are responsible for developing sector and customer marketing strategies that reflect the latest consumers and market trends, support our customers to grow and our sales teams to win and retain business.

The purpose of this role is to support the creation of marketing campaigns designed to increase market share, drive revenue and support our customers’ growth plans. You’ll be tasked to support the team by creating and delivering innovative marketing plans designed to hit specific customers and deliver big results.

You will work closely with the sales team and our customers to develop your knowledge of the industry and become an expert in your field. You will have the freedom to research, scope and create campaigns from the start to the very end and we’ll give you the support you need to grow your skills and develop. In addition you will play a key role in supporting the wider marketing team’s campaign planning and delivery so it is a must that you’re a solid team player.

As the voice of the customer you will be responsible for communicating throughout our business to ensure the customers’ needs are placed first. This role gives you direct access to operators across the eating out market, and requires that you work with them face to face to understand their challenges and support their growth plans.

The role will require you to liaise closely with the sales team, customer marketing team, category teams and the food development team.

What do you need to be successful?

Experience of developing marketing campaigns is desirable, plus an appetite to learn and develop your marketing skills.

Creativity and strong organisational skills are a must for this role. You’ll need to bring your creative flair to the development of marketing material and creativity in your approach to developing innovative solutions for the customer. You’ll also need to be highly organised to prioritise your workload, manage customer requests and drive your sector marketing plans all at the same time. We work in a very deadline driven environment so it’s vital that you have a flexible and planned approach.

You will need to be a confident presenter and excellent relationship builder. This role gives you amazing exposure to players across the eating out market and it is essential that you show-case your learned expertise to them.

You’ll also need to be a skilled wordsmith, copywriting is a fundamental part of the role so you’ll need to enjoy writing and have fantastic attention to detail, taking the time to proof your work thoroughly.

The ability to work with a personable approach is also key. You will be working with stakeholders of all shapes and sizes and it is extremely important that these stakeholders buy into your vision!
Finally, we pride ourselves on our foodie culture so you’ll need to have a keen interest in food. An English or Marketing degree or similar qualification is also desired but relevant experience will also be considered.
