Customer Liaison Delivery Driver

To accommodate our plans for category growth we now have a seconded vacancy for a Customer Liaison Delivery Driver operating out of our depot in Basingstoke. The primary function of this role is to develop the sales of Fresh Meat and Poultry within existing and prospect customers. The customer information will be provided as the role will work in-conjunction with the Field Sales team.

The vacancy requires the successful candidate to work 5 out of 6 days Monday to Saturday inclusive with the flexibility to cover days as necessary.

Requirements for the role include; experience of driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle, (preferably refrigerated but training can be given), have a good geographical knowledge of Basingstoke, Guilford and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate would also preferably hold a Category C1 driving licence.

The role will include the management of your vehicle, which includes loading and reporting any defects. You will be responsible for Fresh Meat and Poultry sales in addition delivering these products to our customers, whilst at the same time acting as an ambassador for the business and introducing our company to other prospective clients.

You will need to be computer literate and have the ability to calculate pricing, training in this area will be given. The successful candidate will be able to use their own initiative and work with minimal supervision and in a proactive way. This position at this stage is a secondment with a view to becoming permanent based on the success and growth of this initiative.
