Yarde Farm Ice Cream currently have a vacancy for a Category Development Manager to cover the UK.

Yarde Farm Ltd was acquired by BFS Ltd in 2016 and is the chosen ice cream supplier for the group. The company manufactures luxury artisan ice cream, in 36 flavours ranging from Vanilla, Choc Strawberry to Jaffa Cake, Oreo and Lime Cheesecake.

Yarde Farm also supplies a full range of marketing and point of sale material including branded freezers.

This exciting opportunity is a key addition to the small but highly motivated Yarde Farm team. This is a home-based role, with monthly visits to production site based just outside Plymouth.

The business has ambitious growth aspirations and is targeting to double its sales turnover with Bidfood over the next year.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a positive and enthusiastic outlook. They will be familiar with the Bidfood operations, highly skilled in selling to end user customers whether they are Independent or Regional / National accounts.

You will be expected to meet and exceed sales targets. You will need to take accountability for ensuring that all sales are within targeted levels, whilst developing sales and margin through identifying, capturing and maximising account potential.

Building close relationships with, depot sales teams, liaising with HOFTS, SDM, BMs will be critical to your success, as will looking at regional specific activities that work in close alignment with the business drivers and aspirations.

An effective sales strategy will be essential and this will be created by you, in line with company strategy.

The role would suit a sales person looking for the next step and would certainly have for the opportunities to progress as the business grows with the potential to develop a senior role within the business.

This is UK wide role with a level of associated travel and staying away from home.
