Brand Marketing Executive – Slough BSC

Are you looking for a fresh challenge? We are looking for an experienced marketer to join our newly formed brand marketing team, to focus on our Bidfood brands, own brand and exclusive brands.

We have developed a new and exciting brand marketing team to manage our category brands, our suite of own brands and exclusive (manufacturer) brands. This role has been designed to allow for greater focus on our Bidfood brands, their brand strategy and bringing together all our customer requirements.

This role now sits within the Marketing & Insight team, which will elevate brand focus within both customer and sector plans. Brand marketing will continue to have strong links with our campaign team, which will now be fully focused on broadening campaigns and growth opportunities.

This role involves supporting the delivery of new brand building campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement within all our customers. Gaining an excellent understanding of the role each brand play for us and our customers (across national, free-trade multiples and independents), will help you to deliver the right brand activation plan. Building relationships with our sales team, buyers, supply chain and technical will be critical to succeeding in this role. Working with your wider marketing colleagues, will enable you to deliver exciting and innovative marketing campaigns across all our marketing platforms.

The role will entail supporting the delivery of brand campaigns, creating internal and external adverts to drive brand / product awareness, manage our brand presence at event as well as being a champion of our brand standards.

What do you need to be successful?

Experience of developing brand marketing campaigns is desirable, plus an appetite to learn and develop your broader marketing skills. Having a passion for food is definitely an advantage and experience within the food industry would set you apart from other candidates.

You will need to have fantastic attention to detail, copywriting is a fundamental part of the role so you’ll need to enjoy writing. An ability to work in a very deadline driven environment is vital. This role requires high organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload coupled with a flexible approach when things change.

Finally, we pride ourselves on our foodie culture so you’ll need to have a keen interest in food. A marketing degree or similar qualification is also desired but relevant experience will also be considered.
