Biz Talk Developer – Bradford

We have a great opportunity for you to join our team as a BizTalk Developer, based at our Slough Depot.

This role is part of the IT E-Commerce team who are responsible for implementing and supporting solutions for customer and supplier EDI integrations; and also operational support and maintenance of the BizTalk platform.

The BizTalk Developer will be responsible for the development of new and support of existing customer EDI integration solutions to meet business need and customer requirements. He/she will also be expected to provide technical support and guidance using their technical expertise and knowledge as required. He/she will also be required to ensure the BizTalk EDI platform operates effectively and efficiently in order to meet agreed service levels.

You will need to demonstrate a successful track record of working on BizTalk integration projects either in a B2C or B2B environment using Biztalk 2013. He/she must have been responsible for understanding the technical requirements in order to undertake the necessary development within Biztalk and provide support for the test and release phases of EDI projects, using best practice so that they work both functionally and operationally to allow our operational teams to easily support solutions post go live.

He/she will demonstrate excellent communication skills to ensure you are able to communicate effectively with customers, 3rd parties, business users and operational support teams.

You will be responsible for the support of existing EDI customer integrations, which will involve diagnosing and fixing incidents and/or problems that have been reported by customers, suppliers or 3rd parties. This will require communication between the Bidfood service desk and/or support teams, the end customer and/or third party suppliers.

You will also be responsible as Biztalk administrator for the development and maintenance of the BizTalk environment(s), with responsibility for producing and updating operational and maintenance processes and procedures, deployment of new and existing code changes including patches, upgrades and releases, whilst updating and maintaining the automated regression test suite, to ensure the BizTalk platform runs as per best practice.

You will possess a sound technical knowledge and experience of BizTalk 2013, .Net framework 4.0 and above, Visual Studio 2012, SQL server 2012 (defining database tables and stored procedures). Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (visual studio online) and GIT would be advantageous.

Key to your role will be demonstrating the effective use of your technical knowledge and expertise to give guidance to the IT and the business to contribute to the E-Commerce roadmap and support the development and introduction of features and functionality of the BizTalk EDI platform.
