Reporting in to the Warehouse Operations Manager , you’ll manage the daily operation and performance of the warehouse and its team in order to provide the expected service to our customers within budget.

Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business. You’ll be capable of recruiting and inducting skilled and motivated people into our business and will lead and engage teams to be successful.

• Management of the Warehouse (days) and Stock Control teams to ensure all goods are received stored and replenished in line with current business processes and standards.
• Management of the WMS (bulk system) and the maintenance of, including pallet sequences / product Mins & Max’s and the product movement reviews.
• Working closely with the Central Replenishment team ensuring inbound volumes, local stock and H&S links are maintained and reviewed.
• Making sure that company assets in the warehouse (MHE, stock) are controlled and accounted for at all times and in line with budget.
• Maintain good management practice and ensure all processes are followed in order to ensure the Health and Safety of our employees and customers

Manage the supervisory team and warehouse operatives and ensure appraisals, people management and conduct issues are managed in an appropriate timescale

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Proven experience of managing teams, with up to date knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene legislation.
• A successful track record in achieving your targets, with an accurate and methodical approach to your work.
• Your success will be measured in the achievement of service standards, as well as commercial objectives covering cost and stock-loss control, product availability, credit reduction and a wide range of people factors such as training and attendance.

You will be an excellent planner and communicator; skilled at working to both tight budgets and tight timescales.
