Assistant transport manager – Manchester

As part of our Transport team you’ll fill an essential role in helping us achieve our targets.

Your main duties will be to manage the day to day running of the transport department, to manage all department costs within agreed budgets, to manage all areas the of transport department in an effective manner in order to deliver service excellence and deliver goods to customers in the timescales required, to ensure that all transport employees adhere to required standards of performance, and take action to remedy if necessary and to ensure all H & S policy’s and procedures are adhered to across the department.

You’ll need to be up to date and compliant with all transport, health & safety and food hygiene legislation, used to working to targets and will have an accurate, flexible and methodical approach to your work. Experience of managing a transport department and International CPC are desirable.
